Thomas by Miika Soini won two awards in Hungary

Thomas by Miika Soini has won the Main Award as well as the Federation International Cinema Clubs Award at CineFest Miskolc, International Film Festival of Young Filmmakers in Hungary (Sept 11 – 20, 2009).
Thomas is already internationally well-known, after being screened at around 20 international film festivals around the world (including the ACID-section of Cannes Film Festival last May) and having won before this three international awards. It will be theatrically distributed in Finland (opening November 20), after having earlier been seen in Finland in TV and at festivals. Thomas is Miika Soini´s debut feature film. It is produced by Janne Wrigstedt / Silva Mysterium and distributed in Finland by Pirkanmaan elokuvakeskus.
