The House of Branching Love still number five on the chart

Mika Kaurismäki´s The House of Branching Love (Haarautuvan rakkauden talo) sticks to its position in the top five of the Finnish chart, even after 11 weekends on screens. It is now number five with a total of 130 624 admissions (last weekend 3 205). It is distributed in Finland by FS Film, now on 24 screens. The film is produced by Mika Kaurismäki´s own production company Marianna Films. International sales are handled by Wide Management.
The next local theatrical release is Thomas by Miika Soini (November 20). This film is already internationally well-known, after being screened at almost 30 international film festivals around the world (including the ACID-section of Cannes Film Festival last May) and having won six international awards. Also in Finland, it has been screened earlier at festivals and on TV. Thomas is Miika Soini’s debut feature film. It is produced by Janne Wrigstedt / Silva Mysterium and distributed in Finland by Pirkanmaan elokuvakeskus. International sales are handled by Insomnia World Sales.
