Honorary Mention of the Jury to The Living Room of the Nation in Leipzig

The Living Room of the Nation (Kansakunnan olohuone) by Jukka Kärkkäinen was given the Honorary Mention of the Jury in the International Competition of Documentary Films at DOK Leipzig International Festival for Documentary and Animated Films in Germany (Oct 26 – Nov 1), arranged since 1955. According to the jury, the film has “a remarkably aesthetic point of view” and “culminates in a profound portrait of an entire nation – its people,their preoccupations, their pathos, and their humour”. The Living Room of the Nation is produced by Sami Jahnukainen / Mouka Filmi, international sales are handled by Deckert Distribution. www.dok-leipzig.de
