Forbidden Fruit won the first international award of 2010 in Pune, India

The drama feature Forbidden Fruit (Kielletty hedelmä) by Dome Karukoski was the first Finnish film to win an international award in 2010 – Special Mention of the Jury at Pune International Film Festival in India (January 7 – 14, 2010).
The festival, now organized for the 8th time, has grown to be one of the biggest film festivals in India with 150 films in the official programme. The international competition consisted of 15 films selected from among 300 entries.
Forbidden Fruit had its world premiere last January at Gothenburg International Film Festival in Sweden. It has earlier won six international awards and been invited, among others, to Karlovy Vary and Shanghai International Film Festival.
