Without anyone knowing, Markku has been creating art for the last 34 years in his house. In
the director's childhood, they lived wall to wall and were close, but then Markku moved away, disappearing from her life. As we witness a special kind of dialogue emerge between the director and her protagonist, we find the world of a free spirit searching to be true to himself and inspiring us to do the same.

Karin Pennanen (b. 1977) is a Helsinki-based filmmaker. She graduated in 2005 from the University of Art and Design, Helsinki, and she has studied film also at Nordland College of Art and Film in Norway.
