Miikka Poutiainen

Miikka Poutiainen is a documentary film director whose main work centers on intimate, character-driven storytelling, often highlighting social issues in Western welfare societies. He also creates more experimental films and media works. Poutiainen graduated from the University of Art and Design Helsinki (Aalto University). In addition to his creative work, he serves on the board of the Finnish Documentary Guild and the board of the Freelance Program Employees Association. Poutiainen works mainly in Helsinki, Finland.
