Details
Julia, a music producer in her early 30s, visits a friend’s idyllic island villa for a late-summer weekend, only to recognize her host’s husband as a man from her past. As unspoken tensions grow and buried truths surface, the weekend turns into a reckoning that forces Julia to confront old wounds. What follows is a painful yet transformative search for honesty, healing, and release.

Laura Hyppönen
Laura Hyppönen studied filmmaking at the European Film College in Denmark and earned an MA in Screenwriting from Tampere University of Applied Sciences, as well as an MSc in Film Business from the Film Business Academy at Cass Business School in London. Originally from Finland, after twenty years in the UK she now divides her time between Amsterdam, Berlin and Helsinki. Hyppönen developed Lex Julia as a fellow of the Bergman Foundation, Nipkow Programme, Helsinki International Artist Programme and Circle Fiction Orbit.
