Second Acts follows prisoners, former prisoners and recovering addicts at Helsinki-based Portti Theatre—and beyond its walls. On stage, they strip away their roles; outside, they struggle to build new lives. One crisis could mean a return to addiction or crime. But being seen, heard and applauded opens another possibility: Maybe I’m not who I used to be. Behind tattoos and trauma lies a question that reaches far beyond the stage: Who do I want to be?
