International financing
International financing accounts for a major part of the funding of Finnish film productions. The Finnish Film Foundation supports production companies in finding international partners and financing.
Creative Europe/Media
The European Union’s Creative Europe programme grants support for the audiovisual sector. The Creative Europe/Media desk provides information and advice on the Media sub-programme in Finland. Their website also includes a list of European coproduction platforms.
Nordic Film & TV Fund
Finnish Film Foundation is one of the sponsors of the Nordic Film & TV Fund. Headquartered in Oslo, the Fund supports Nordic film and series.
Eurimages
Eurimages is a Council of Europe fund granting support to international co-productions. Finnish Film Foundation’s Head of Production acts as the Finnish representative in Eurimages.
New Dawn Fund
We are one of the partners of New Dawn, a film fund promoting inclusion and equality. The fund grants production support to feature-legth fiction and documentary projects from filmmakers from discriminated groups.
International Sámi Film Institute
Finnish Film Foundation finances the International Sámi Film Institute that promotes Sámi language film production in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia. The Institute is located in Kautokeino, Norway.
