The Five Nordics Showcase at Cannes Docs presents five upcoming documentary films on Saturday, May 16. The Finnish project is Lonesome Land by Virpi Suutari.

Finnish Film Foundation has curated a selection of three films to the Short Film Corner. They are All Good by Basha Troni, Good Night Monster by Emilia Hernesniemi and Placeholder by Teemu Nikki.

European Film Promotion organizes the Producers on the Move programme for the 27th time in Cannes. Daniel Kuitunen from production company Komeetta is one of the 20 selected producers. Komeetta’s latest film Nightborn premiered in Competition in Berlinale this year.

Investors Circle, a pitching event for private investors, happens over the weekend. Cannes Grand Prix -winning director Juho Kuosmanen is one of the eight filmmakers selected to the programme. His latest feature film project has development funding from the Finnish Film Foundation.

Nordic House

Finnish Film Foundation takes part in the market together with our Nordic colleagues under The Five Nordics banner. Nordic House is located close to the Palais, at 11 Square Mérimée

This year the ground floor houses the Nordic Producers Hub, where Nordisk Film & TV Fond offers tables for meetings to Nordic producers. Tables may be used up to one hour in order of arrival.

The second floor of the Nordic House is reserved for The Five Nordics’ meetings.
