A jury invited by Filmiaura has selected the Jussi Award nominees of 2023. Altogether 27 feature films and 11 documentary films were eligible. 15 films received nominations, with Family Time (Mummola) leading with 11 nominations.

This is the second year that the acting categories are not gendered. The four acting categories are leading actor, supporting actor, newcomer and audience favorite. This is the first time in the Jussi Awards’ history that the audience will get to vote on the winner in an official category.

The Finnish national film awards, Jussi Awards, have been given since 1944. The winners are chosen by the members of Filmiaura. This year’s gala will take place on Friday, March 22, 2024.
