Nordisk Panorama awards producer Juha Löppönen
Three films supported by the Finnish Film Foundation also got accolades in Malmö, Sweden.
Nordisk Panorama, a festival highlighting Nordic short and documentary films, has awarded Juha Löppönen of Mouka Filmi the Nordic Documentary Producer Award 2026.
According to the jury, “in an extremely challenging production landscape, [Löppönen] continues to create ambitious films, build Nordic collaborations and generously share their knowledge.”
Mouka Filmi had two films in the Documentary Competition: The Beauty of Errors, directed by Jukka Kärkkäinen, and the Swedish-Finnish co-production The Smuggler (main producer Ballad Film). Directed by Sylvelin Måkestad, The Smuggler won the main award of the section and The Beauty of Errors received an honorary mention.
The main award of the Short Film Competition went to another minority co-production supported by the Finnish Film Foundation, the Swedish animated short film Please by Anna Mantzaris. The Finnish co-production company is Böhle Studios.
