Individuals who have registered for and participated in events organized by the Finnish Film Foundation.

The Finnish Film Foundation communications operations.

- Any other relevant information (e.g., dietary restrictions, pre-event questions)
7. REGULAR DATA SOURCES
Information is collected via registration forms or by email from participants.
8. DATA STORAGE DURATION
The Finnish Film Foundation retains only data necessary for organizing and developing events, provided there is a legal basis for processing. Data that becomes unnecessary, outdated, or otherwise lacks a legal basis for processing will be securely deleted.
9. DATA PROCESSORS
Employees of the Finnish Film Foundation may process personal data in accordance with current data protection legislation. If necessary, data processing may be partially outsourced to third parties, who must also comply with applicable data protection laws and contractual safeguards.
Data may be transferred or disclosed with the participant’s consent to temporary registers, such as event or research registers. These registers are used solely for their specific purposes, as separately informed.
Data may also be disclosed for scientific or historical research purposes.
10. TRANSFERRING DATA OUTSIDE THE EU OR THE EEA
The Finnish Film Foundation does not transfer or release the personal data of customers outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
However, if necessary and with the participant’s consent, data may be transferred or disclosed outside the EU/EEA in accordance with the Personal Data Act.
11. REGULAR DATA RELEASES
We transfer data to third parties only in the following cases:
- the user has given their consent.
- based on the valid demands of legal authorities or other parties according to established law.
- for statistical, scientific or historical research purposes upon the condition that the data has been changed so that individuals cannot be identified.
12. GUIDELINES FOR REGISTER SECURITY
The Finnish Film Foundation protects the confidentiality and security of its registers through firewalls, physical security of device locations, access control, user rights management, encryption technologies, and active monitoring.
Digitally stored and processed data is held in databases protected by firewalls, passwords, and other technical safeguards. These databases are located in facilities under 24/7 surveillance.
Only employees of the Finnish Film Foundation have access to personal data, and they authenticate using personal usernames and passwords.
13. RIGHT OF ACCESS
According to § 26–28 of the Personal Data Act, the data subject has the right to examine what information about them has been stored into the register. A signed request for access must be sent in writing to:
