Two Golden Globe nominations for Fallen Leaves
Fallen Leaves, written and directed by Aki Kaurismäki, is nominated in the Non-English Language Best Picture category at the 81st Golden Globes.

In addition, Alma Pöysti is nominated for Best Female Actor in Motion Picture Musical/Comedy category. The nominations were announced on Monday, December 11. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) will hand out the awards in Los Angeles on January 7, 2024.
Fallen Leaves is also the Finnish contender for the Academy Awards. Their shortlists will be announced on December 21, and final nominees will be unveiled on January 23, 2024. Domestically the film, produced by Sputnik and Bufo, is still in wide release, with over 228,000 admissions to date.
