Jussi Awards announced – A Light That Never Goes Out named Film of the Year

A Light That Never Goes Out won altogether seven Jussi Awards. Five other feature films, one feature documentary film and one short film were also awarded.

The Jussi Awards for Finnish films released in 2025 were announced on Friday, March 20, in Helsinki. The theme of the gala was cinemas. The final award was handed out by President of Finland, Alexander Stubb.

The members of Filmiaura, an association for film professionals, vote for the Jussi Awards. The nominees are named by a selection committee appointed by the Board of Filmiaura. The Award is the oldest national film award in Europe, first given in 1944.
