Seven films supported by the Finnish Film Foundation at CPH:DOX
The Danish documentary film festival has selected three Finnish films and four Finnish minority co-productions to its competition sections.

The Secret Reading Club of Kabul, by Shakiba Adil and Elina Hirvonen, premieres in NORDIC:DOX, the competition for Nordic documentary films. In Taliban-ruled Kabul, a group of young women risk everything to secretly read banned books. Inspired by Anne Frank, they film their hidden lives, tracing a path of resistance that leads from Kabul to exile in Tehran and Germany. The film is produced by Yellow Film & TV.
Also in NORDIC:DOX, Arctic Circle of Lust by Markku Heikkinen follows Petri, a potato farmer in his fifties, who faces his bisexuality and learns to be true to himself and open to his partner. The domestic premiere is in National Competition at Tampere Film Festival in March, and the cinema release is on April 10, 2026. The film is produced by Zone2 Pictures.
In Full Agreement, directed by Panu Suuronen, competes in F:ACT, a section for cinematic and politically urgent films rooted in journalism. The film focuses on the lives of Finnish Russians living between two cultures. The film premiered earlier this year at DocPoint Helsinki Documentary Film Festival.
