Jean Michel Roux

Jean Michel Roux (b. 1964 in Nancy) is a French filmmaker with a long passion for Nordic Countries. His debut feature The Thousand Wonders of the Universe (1997) was awarded the best European film at the festival of Rome and the grand prize at the festival of Malmö. In the early 90’s he discovered that many Icelanders believed in the existence of Elves and intrigued by this he directed feature length documentary Investigation into the Invisible World (2002). After a visit to Helsinki International Film Festival in 1998, he has been returning to Finland in search of inspiration.
