Jörn Donner

(born in 1933) has had a distinguished career as a film director, producer, writer, and politician. His works have influenced Finnish society for almost half a century and he still keeps working as one of the most controversial personalities in the Finnish cultural field. Donner’s most famous films include Portraits of Women (1970) and Fuck Off! Images from Finland (1971). He has also won an Academy Award for a film produced by him and directed by Ingmar Bergman: Fanny and Alexander (1982).
